Description
These sticky, sweet, and spicy chicken bites are incredibly easy to make in an air fryer with zero oil required. The sauce clings perfectly to the crispy chicken, making it a foolproof snack or main course that comes together in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp Sriracha sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 stalks green onions, sliced
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Pat chicken cubes dry with paper towels and place in a bowl or resealable bag.
- Add cornstarch to the chicken and toss until lightly dusted.
- Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3 minutes.
- Arrange chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket (cook in batches if necessary).
- Air fry for 10 minutes, then shake or turn the chicken.
- Continue cooking for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- While chicken cooks, whisk together honey, Sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and minced garlic in a medium bowl.
- Transfer cooked chicken to a large bowl and pour about three-quarters of the sauce over it.
- Toss gently to coat evenly.
- Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
Notes
Do not put the sauce in before air frying as the sugar in the honey will burn. Ensure chicken is cooked in a single layer for crispiness. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes to restore texture; avoid microwaving.
