Description
A creamy, rich, and budget-friendly iced white chocolate mocha that tastes like café quality but is easy to make at home in just 5 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup (90g) white chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 2 shots (about 2 ounces / 60ml) strong brewed espresso
- 1 cup (240ml) milk of choice
- 1 cup (about 100g) ice cubes
- Optional: Whipped cream and melted white chocolate for topping
Instructions
- Brew strong espresso and set aside while hot.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, combine white chocolate chips and heavy cream. Stir constantly until melted and smooth (2-3 minutes). Do not let it scorch.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and pinch of salt. Set sauce aside.
- Add ice cubes, milk, espresso, and 2-3 tablespoons of the warm white chocolate sauce to a blender.
- Blend on high for 15-20 seconds until frothy and well-combined.
- Pour into a tall glass. Top with whipped cream and a drizzle of melted white chocolate if desired.
Notes
For best texture, blend the ingredients. If you don’t have a blender, shake vigorously in a shaker bottle or mason jar. The white chocolate sauce can be made in advance and stored in the fridge for up to 5 days. Reheat sauce slightly before using if it has thickened. Avoid high heat when melting chocolate to prevent graininess.
