Description
A spicy, creamy, and handheld game day snack featuring mini cocktail sausages wrapped in crescent roll dough with a sharp cheddar and cream cheese jalapeño filling.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 12–16 mini cocktail sausages
- 1/2 cup pickled jalapeño slices, drained and chopped
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, chopped jalapeños, and garlic powder. Mix until a thick, spreadable paste forms.
- Open the crescent roll dough and press perforated seams together to form one large rectangle.
- Place about 1 teaspoon of the cheese filling at the wide end of a dough triangle.
- Lay 1 or 2 mini sausages on top of the cheese.
- Roll the dough up around the sausage, enclosing the cheese. Pinch the seam closed and press with a fork to seal tightly.
- Place rolls seam-side down on the baking sheet, leaving an inch between each.
- Brush tops with melted butter.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Cool for 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
Drain jalapeños well to prevent soggy dough. Seal seams tightly with a fork to prevent cheese leakage. For less spice, remove jalapeño seeds. Can be made ahead and frozen unbaked.
