Meal Prep Overnight Oats: 5-Min Gluten-Free Prep

  • Author: Luciana
  • Total Time: 6 hours 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A quick, creamy, and customizable overnight oats recipe that takes only 5 minutes to prep. This gluten-free breakfast is perfect for meal prep, requiring no cooking and delivering a nutritious start to your day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (40g) Certified Gluten-Free Rolled Oats
  • 1/4 cup (60g) Plain Unsweetened Yogurt (or coconut yogurt for dairy-free)
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Milk of Choice (almond, oat, or whole milk)
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup (or honey)
  • 1 tsp Chia Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup (75g) Fresh or Frozen Berries
  • 1 tbsp Nuts or Seeds (walnuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds)
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add dry ingredients to a mason jar: 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1 tsp chia seeds, 1 tbsp nuts/seeds, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon if using. Shake gently to distribute chia seeds.
  2. Pour in wet ingredients: 1/2 cup milk, 1/4 cup yogurt, 1 tbsp maple syrup, and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. If using banana, mash it in now.
  3. Stir thoroughly until no dry oats are visible and the mixture resembles a thick, creamy batter.
  4. Top with fruit (berries or sliced banana), pressing them slightly into the mixture. Reserve some fruit for the morning if desired.
  5. Screw the lid on tight and refrigerate for 6-8 hours (or up to 3 days).
  6. Serve cold straight from the jar, or microwave for 60-90 seconds if preferred warm. Add fresh toppings like nuts or granola right before eating.

Notes

Do not use instant or steel-cut oats as they will not soften properly overnight. For best texture, store jars in the back of the fridge. Add crunchy toppings like nuts or granola right before eating to prevent sogginess. Frozen berries create a natural syrup as they thaw. These do not freeze well.
